Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information is collected when you visit the KP Stein website or send an inquiry, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.

Effective date: October 6, 2026.

About this policy

Our practice and this website

KP Stein is the public name of KPStein CFP® Inc, the Lynbrook tax practice long known as Moskowitz and Simons. Our office is at 88 C Atlantic Avenue, Lynbrook, NY 11563.

This policy covers the public website and inquiries sent through it. Tax returns, supporting documents, and information handled during a professional engagement are also subject to applicable confidentiality and recordkeeping requirements. This website policy does not replace any client privacy notice or engagement agreement that applies to those services.

Financial planning services through Halliday Financial are separate from the tax practice and are subject to the relevant provider’s privacy notices and agreements.

What we collect

Information you share and visit data

  • Inquiries: the appointment form asks for your name, email address, and message. You may also provide a phone number, the service you need, and your preferred contact method. A phone number is required if you request a callback. We also receive information you choose to share when contacting the office directly.
  • Delivery information: your submission is emailed to the office through Resend. A separate acknowledgment may be emailed to the address you supplied; it does not contain a copy of your message. Email services also process delivery information, such as timestamps and delivery status.
  • Technical information: our hosting and service providers may receive your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, referring page, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs when they deliver and protect the website.
  • Usage information: if Google Analytics is enabled, Google receives visit and interaction information as described under Cookies and analytics below. The embedded Google Map can also receive technical information when it loads.

Do not include Social Security numbers, tax returns, identification documents, passwords, or financial account details in the appointment form or ordinary email. Use the Client Center document portal when directed by the office.

How we use it

Responding to you and running the site

We use inquiry information to respond to your questions, discuss services, arrange appointments, and keep a record of our communications. We use technical information to deliver the website, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, and protect the site. When enabled, analytics helps us understand which pages and contact options visitors use.

Submitting an inquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list. We do not sell website inquiry information or share the contents of your inquiry for targeted advertising. Information may also be used or disclosed as required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect legal rights and the security of our services.

Who receives information

Services that support your visit

Our office receives the information you send us. The following providers also process information when delivering their services:

Links to Halliday Financial, government agencies, and other outside resources take you to services with their own privacy practices. Our practice is based in the United States; service providers may process information in the United States or other countries as described in their notices.

Cookies and analytics

Understanding and controlling tracking

Google Analytics 4 is enabled on this website. It uses cookies and similar identifiers to measure visits, pages viewed, traffic sources, approximate location, browser and device information, and interactions such as submitting an inquiry or clicking a phone or email link.

When Google Analytics is enabled, the website’s contact events report that an inquiry was submitted or a phone or email link was clicked. Those events do not include the name, email address, phone number, or message entered in the form. Google’s processing is described in the notices linked above.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings and use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new tab) in supported browsers. The add-on applies to Analytics, not to Google Maps or other services. Blocking cookies may affect third-party features; it does not prevent all technical information from being transmitted when a page or map loads.

The website does not currently change its behavior in response to a browser’s Do Not Track signal. You can use your browser’s privacy controls and the Google tools above to manage tracking separately.

Retention and security

Email records and sensitive information

Website inquiries become email records. How long those records are needed depends on the inquiry, any resulting client relationship, and applicable business, tax, professional, or legal recordkeeping needs. Hosting logs, email delivery records, and any analytics data are also subject to the relevant provider’s settings and retention practices. Contact the office about a particular record or a deletion request.

No website, email service, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. The appointment form is for initial contact and scheduling, not for exchanging tax documents. Please call the office if you need help choosing an appropriate way to provide confidential information.

Your choices

Ask about your information

You may choose not to submit the form, leave optional fields blank, or contact us by phone. We need a way to reach you to respond to an inquiry. You can ask the office to update your contact details or discuss access to, correction of, or deletion of information you have supplied.

Privacy rights vary with your location and the information involved. We will consider requests under applicable law and may need to verify your identity before providing or changing records. Some information may need to be retained to meet legal or professional obligations. Please describe your request without emailing identity documents or sensitive tax information; we can discuss a suitable verification method if needed.

Additional information

Children’s privacy and policy changes

This website is intended for adults seeking tax and related professional services. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the website, contact the office so we can review the matter and address it as appropriate.

We will update this page and its effective date when our website’s practices change. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for a change. Using this website or reading this policy is not consent to an unrelated use of your information.
