Meet the team
How the firm came to be.
Moskowitz & Simons was founded by Irving Moskowitz in the middle of the 20th century. Some years later, his partner and friend, Richie Simons, joined him and helped build the firm into the business it is today.
Irving had a particular love for Mallomars, and over the years our office became known for having a little something sweet around to take the edge off tax season.
Irving's son, Burt, introduced Irving and Richie to Katherine. When the time came for Katherine to take the reins, she moved the office from Merrick Road to Atlantic Avenue — but not before making sure the Mallomars made the trip, too.
Today the practice — now KP Stein — remains a family-oriented business built around the same principles that have guided us for decades: personal relationships, professional expertise, and taking care of our clients like people — not numbers on a tax return.
